Halloween time and yeast hell

We are halfway done carving our two pumpkins. I underestimated how excited the boys would be to help me. This year we bought the carving tools and patterns. We will have a cat on one and a skull with cross bone on the other. It was a lot more work than I expected, but it was fun.

Tomorrow night is what our state calls beggar's night. So the boys will be putting on costumes tomorrow and trick or treating around our neighborhood.

I'm a little nervous because I am having some issues with too much yeast in my system, candida. I have been on no sugar diet and it is really tough. But I am feeling a little better. I am doing some other things to try to heal myself. This all started a few years ago when Cliff and I did a little too much partying before he left for Iraq, and when he returned. Then I was in the hospital and on a lot of antibiotics last fall. Turns out alcohol and antibiotics really change the bacteria make up in a person.

I won't go into all the issues I am having from all this. Just know it is not a lot of fun. I feel like I am in yeast hell. Keeping my chin up though!

So wish me luck this week resisting sweets. Photos to come in a few days from beggar's night.

i think i'm in yeast hell a few times per year for the last two years. i have no idea what has changed for me to deserve it, either.

I swear by Diflucan! Sorry, it's not natural but it works wonderfully!

I've heard if you have systemic yeast issues that diflucan will only be a temporary fix. But it sounds worth a try. Thanks!
