Bike love and importance of play

We finally bought bikes after much thought over the past few weeks about what kind wanted. I was soooo excited that mine was used and brand new all at the same time!!!!! We went to Rasmussen's Bike Shop and they were really awesome. Cliff got a really nice and affordable light weight bike and comfy helmet that matches. We all got water bottle holders, too. Holden has a new helmet as well. His other one didn't fit right. Cliff and Holden rode a beautiful paved trail yesterday. I rode all around the neighborhood and am amazed at the difference a decent bike makes for getting up hills. I feel so much safer going downhill now. My other bike was scary. We bought a bike rack for our bikes and we will be hitting some trails!!!! Life is only getting better and better. It is really what you make it.

They are riding bikes to a park with friends now and I am finishing up our lunch. It is a beautiful spring day here with daffodils blossoming and trees starting to bloom. Both boys loved their Easter baskets and the eggs the Easter Bunny left. Yesterday we had fun dying eggs that are now deviled eggs, thanks to hubby.

Hubby is home tomorrow and we plan to have another day of play. Speaking of play here is a really wonderful video about the importance of play for all, not just children:

Hope everyone is celebrating spring and enjoying loved ones no matter what your traditions or beliefs are.

Love to all...
