Unschooling Math

I have never worried about my boys' learning. I know deep down in my heart and trust with every ounce of my soul that they are perfectly capable of learning anything necessary to lead exciting, joyful lives. One reason I have never worried is all the research and time I put into the way we parent and live our lives. I have spent countless hours reading books, reading websites, asking questions, meeting other unschoolers, and loving my kids through every stage of their young lives.

Some people stress about math and how on earth their kids will learn to read and write, if they don't send their kids to school or mimic school at home. Everything in life has a way of being learned. You just gotta believe and trust. Kids are natural learners. My boys are blowing my mind every day with their abilities, curiosities, and drive. And I am just here to witness and share our joy.

I was in such awe of my oldest today that I asked him if I could make a video of him. He was reluctant, but I insisted he will love seeing it 20 years from now and showing his own children. I love this boy!:

We are here to answer questions and provide and interesting life with friends, family, hobbies, and stimulation of the mind. It is amazing all that flows from a happy childhood.

Love and learning to all!

That's cute!! I am amazed at how my six year old son is learning math also - he just counted by two's all the way to 100 on the way to the waterpark.
