My grateful what's new

I'm stuck in moment here, but want to say all is going great with my healing. It is a lovely, sunny week here and we're gearing up for the break this week. A friend came over yesterday to help out and went to the store for our Thanksgiving Day fixings. She is going to help us cook a big meal on Thursday, which is awesome because Cliff's was in Iraq last Thanksgiving. Plus it will be his first Thanksgiving since his mom passed away last year.

The boys have been helping with household tasks and even made their own scrambled eggs yesterday. I get around fine, just trying to take it easy. My legs were really sore last night from standing a lot yesterday. I am working my way back to normal. Funny what a week in the hospital will do to a person's muscle tone. I don't sleep much at night, and it is hard to get comfortable because of my incisions. But considering it is my choice not to take any pain meds, so I can detox, I can live with that. I get about two hours of sleep in a row and then I am lucky if I can fall asleep again within an hour.

I'm just really gratetful to be home and mostly enjoying being here. I'm kinda grumpy at times, but rightly so. Camden smiled so big at me the first morning I was home from the hospital. It made my whole day as I walked down the stairs and saw his expression! Holden has been helping me a lot with his brother and Cliff is busy getting caught up on quizzes, tests, papers, and homework he missed last week while he was caring for the boys. Camden and I had a date last night watching a movie, and he played with his spin art, and Legos part of the time. Holden had a friend over and they played WoW. I haven't been in the mood to play yet. I am still adjusting to everything. My body system is still wacky, but I feel better everyday. Holden is now a level 30 and can get a rider. He is so excited, but now he and Cliff have to get about 5 more gold for him to buy the training for it. Cliff is a level 28 and loving playing with Holden. They are saving equipment for me for when my new character reaches a higher level. I have an older toon that is a level 18. I love playing with my guild on the horde. But I love playing on the alliance with Holden. Cliff and I haven't played together yet. But I see it coming soon. :)

Birthday time is coming again soon! My birthday is on December 8th and Holden's 7th b-day is the next day. He wants to go roller skating. I need to hurry up and get back to normal! I want to skate at his party. Holden has tae kwon do tonight and he will test for his new belt in February. He missed a lot of classes this fall, but his teacher is very understanding. It is a laid back class. If he would have been there more he would be testing for his new belt next week.

So that is my grateful what's new in honor of Thanksgiving, family, friends, my health, joys--big and small!!!

Much love to all....

It is good to hear you are recovering.
This is our first Thanksgiving without my dad. It's very strange, isn't it?
I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving!

Yes, take the time to heal. Go easy on yourself and enjoy all the downtime.
