Our little family. We were at a b-day party for a cousin.

So much is going on here. Today the kids and I were outside biking and walking around on our street and I thought it would be cool to run in to get my camera to photograph the fall foliage going on here. It is quite lovely, but a gloomy day here. It has been rainy/gloomy on and off for about 4 or so days. We have been really busy here. Some of our life the past 4 days:

~painting hallway/stairway
~biking, walks (i biked about 10 miles the past week--yea)
~cuddling up to watch movies (all kinds)
~kids playing with cousins
~kids playing with neighbors
~went out to eat with Cliff's family after the visitation/viewing for his mom
~went to Cliff's aunt's in town for a family gathering and dinner
~library visit---reading lots of cool stuff with kids and chugging away at Harry Potter
~lots of cooking for Cliff and kids
~I am experimenting with going vegan...been at it for a few weeks.
~did an experiment today w/ Holden...his idea. it involved fire. it was cool.
~going to start reading Infidel today. i'm excited and glad a friend recommended it. it is written by a woman who used to be muslim and is now living in the U.S.
~spending lots of time w/ cliff when he is home.
~cliff is busy helping to clean his mom's house out.
~found a dead squirrel. camden and holden insisted on laying acorns next to it. camden stroked it's fur. of course i washed his hands in warm water with soap afterward.
~holden is using frig letter magnets daily to try to make new words. he can spell buy. :)
~camden loves to count and name colors he sees.
~holden asked today if he could take something apart.
~cleaned basement to make room for some of cliff's mom's stuff.
~dryer broke. cliff got me another one. :) i was so proud to help him carry it down the basement. and the old one up to the garage...he didn't think i could do it. we did it slowly and w/ as little effort as possible.
~cliff is working on getting something on my car fixed and other little repairs done around here.
~ate at a Japanese steakhouse (TAKI) as a combined celebration (Cliff's b-day in Nov. and our 12th anniversary on 21st). It was awesome!!! Kids LOVED it!! All the cools knife tricks and chopping was a.m.a.z.i.n.g.! We ate mostly grilled seafood. Expensive. Ouch!!!!

Well, that about sums up our life at the moment! We are loving having Cliff home for a bit! The first few days were an adjustment (Cliff had major jet lag and we had to get used to him being here). But all is flowing great overall. Life is feeling precious and we are guarding our family time. He will be here about 9 1/2 more days from today.

I'll attach some photos from the past week. Mostly kids with cousins and other people we have seen related to family gatherings. I'm in a hurry cuz Cliff is getting home soon and will need my help with some things. Sorry for any typos or glitches. Love to all and thanks for all the sweet comments last time. It was appreciated!
