Creature finding kids going to Mississippi

We're leaving for Mississippi very early in the morning and we're excited! It is our first time there to see Cliff and it should be a fun time. We'll be home (Texas home base--my sister, Heidi's) in a few days. Not very long, but better than nothing!

We have been loving the creature finds lately. We have found a few small skinks. They look like lizards, but with smooth skin. My sister took the pic of the ducks at the lake nearby. We believe the snake is a Texas Brown snake. It did not strike or rattle it's tail. We knew it was non-aggressive when my brave, herp loving sister moved it into a bucket with a small shovel, and it responded calmly. My sister immediately went to the computer to research what type of snake it was to see if the boys could handle it. After she found it was definitely a harmless snake, she went outside to watch them hold it, and then we let it go shortly after. It was an exciting find! After that we found a black widow hiding under a gutter splash guard. Ohhh!! My skin was crawling after that and the snake finds!! And it was already crawling from the poison ivy!
Thanks everyone for all the kind words and support! We feel the love!! Joy to all!!!
