It was a HOT day!! Although we were tired from going to bed late and waking up early to take Cliff to the airport, we decided to go swimming this afternoon! It was in the upper 80s and maybe even 90 today. We were just going to go to the lake near our house but there were no kids there. So instead we went to a state park south of where we live. It was filled with young families, teens, and college kids basking in the sun. What a nice way to end a fun weekend.
Cliff and I had a few nights out and we miss him so much already! He'll be back on Mother's Day weekend. We have some fun stuff to do while he is gone though--so hopefully the time will go quickly. It is supposed to be in the 70s all week, except tomorrow it will be hot again--hot for us anyway! It is not usually this hot until June. So it was a nice treat to go swimming--the water was cold but not too cold once you got used to it. There were lots of people there. We had a lot of fun making some friends and playing in the water. The boys did some nature exploring as well. Wouldn't have missed it for the world!
