Spring Break here we come

After much thought and discussion today and tonight on the phone with Cliff and others, the kids and I will be heading to Texas for my nephew and brother's spring break which starts this Friday. I didn't realize it was so soon. If I don't get out of here soon I think I will go nuts. The kids are climbing the walls here. Today they were jumping from high places onto the furniture or floor. Camden had a near scary injury, but not from the jumping. It is in the 70s in Texas and we will be bringing the kids' bikes for sure. And I need some serious TLC and laughs. The drive is the scariest part--Two full days of driving. But once we hit the road I know I will feel some relief. We'll most likely be gone a few weeks because the drive is so long. If we had an RV I would take my time getting there. I can't stand all the fast food and paying for motels more than one time on the way down or up. Wish us luck and hopefully I'll come back with more of a sense of self and sanity.

Another exciting thing is our house may be completely painted when the kids and I get back thanks to some special elves who will be coming to our rescue (wink)! Cliff has this weekend off and he is looking forward to getting some stuff done around the house that he has been needing to do, like a leaky tub faucet. He is glad the kids and I will get out of here and was very supportive of the idea of us going. He knows how much Holden and Camden love going to Texas and how much I need to get out of here.
