Unschoolers on the road

Tip: Pause the video and let it load then hit the "watch" button after it's almost loaded.

This inspirational family is one of many the reasons we are planning to travel full-time with the kids. We have had the pleasure of hanging out with them when they lived in Iowa. These kids and their parents are very down to earth, smart, and very cool!!!

Thanks for letting us share your new video, Fuhkaui Family! Here's the blurb for this video which was posted to YouTube on Oct. 3, 2006: The last three weeks of what we've done, where we've been. Starts in New Mexico on the highways, then Explora, Sandia Crest, The Petroglyphs, camp, Billy the Kid's grave, Dodd's house, Jeremiah's in TX, park in NE and ending with Ponca State Park.....music by Dana Lyons

I love this video and the song. The song describes the agony, rejection, and sedation of many boys in school. Cliff's (my husband) little brother was dislexic and was made fun of in school. He dropped out at a young age. He has a lot of self esteem issues and depression issues as an adult. There's nothing wrong with him but he thinks so because of all the labels. It's quite sad.

About the Fuhkaui Family: Unschooling family of five that lives in a converted school bus and travels the country, for work and pleasure...living and learning.

Very awesome family!! Last month they helped put on a funshop about living on the road at an unschooling conference in New Mexico. I heard they did an amazing talk! There are thousands of families all over the world who travel full-time for the pleasure of it. If you look at My Favorite Links on the sidebar I have many families' blogs and websites listed who also live and work on the road. All awesome folks!!!

Thanks for all the inspiration, Vicki, Joey, and kids!!! You're incredible! One thing that Cliff and I really have appreciated about the Fuhkaui Family is that Joey does not need to work full-time. This appeals to us in so many ways. It would give us time to relax and enjoy life. We're extremely thrilled about our upcoming life on the road!

Happy trails to all!!
