Spring blooms, weekend finds, and more

We were out running errands today and decided to photograph some awesome spring blooms. I wish I could name all the trees shown here. The flowers are obviously tulips. These were all photographed in our neighborhood. The flowering tree that is leaning, is vertical because we had tornadic winds last summer that wreaked havoc in our area. I'm just glad that tree is not in my yard.

Saturday we had fun going to many garage sales in the town we live. There were at least 40 in a 3 mile radius. The most exciting thing we found were real Indian arrow heads. Holden made a spear with his. I am holding it in the photo of me in front of our house. He is holding it in another photo.

We went to visit friends on Saturday night for a BBQ. It was spur of the moment, but we had a nice time. The boys brought micro kites and flew them with their friends. The girls we visited said they had never flown kites, it was fun (except for the tangles). It was a very windy and kinda chilly May Day with highs in the mid 50s.

I am dreading my afternoon gyno exam appointment today, but will be glad to get it over with. Both boys have dentist appointments in the morning. Cliff is still gone to appointments today. He had two doctor appointments this morning. I still have two or three more appointments for myself over the next few weeks, and I can't wait to get them over with. See what happens when you put off going to the doctor? Well, some of ours are just check ups we want to have done while we still have insurance through the Navy. But still, I think I prefer being neglectful. LOL.

The boys' art mentor is coming over on Wednesday and on Thursday we hope to go visit with friends we haven't seen in awhile. Every day the boys play with neighborhood friends. It has been quite a whirlwind, but little by little we are getting things done around the house that we left undone. And we have been making plans with family and friends we haven't seen yet.

Mother's Day weekend is coming and I am a little nervous. It is my fourth Mother's Day weekend since my mom died and Cliff's first without his mom (she passed away in October). But we are planning to make it a fun weekend by doing things with Cliff's family. Have a happy week and lots of motherly love to all...
