This week two things we had hoped for panned out. We are trying to finish carpeting the basement and so after much searching we found an awesome deal on new carpet. We went to the worst part of town to find it, but it was $100 less for decent carpet including delivery. We will be installing it ourselves. Fun. But it is saving us $200 or more. And our a/c unit is 30 years old and after much research and shopping we are installing a new high efficient one this week (and new coil), with the help of Cliff's sister's boyfriend.
On another note, Cliff found out he has to have surgery on his shoulder. he has a torn ligament, or something like that. He had an MRI done last week. On Monday he will get the news about his back. Both have been hurting him since his Air Force days. It is a little scary, but at least I am home and able to help him. It will be a long recovery time. We will have help from the government for physical rehab and finances during this time.
