WoW article makes headlines

I loved this article I got a notice about today. I have unschooling Google alerts. I don't get too excited about them normally, but I thought this one was fun to read.

I am half tempted to get signed up for WoW! I know it costs $15 a month or something. I think we can try it for free through a friend though? I can't remember. I think come January we will think seriously about it. Iowa winters will have us looking for something else to do besides wish it were warmer out.

Check out the article if you want to see what all the fuss is about. I recognized a few names in the article which was cool!

I'll send you a free 10 day trial. If you want to continue, make sure you buy the game and pay your $15 before the 10 days is up or you'll lose your progress.

Thanks for the offer. :) Will that offer still stand in November or later? I am very interested.

Zamozo beat me to it :) I also was going to say we could send you a free trial.

And if the 'recruit a friend' promo isn't still going in Nov., I'm pretty sure you can always go to the worldofwarcraft.com site for a 10 day free trial.

I really like the graphics. We got going on it last night. He played it for half an hour this morning and then we went day tripping. Now he is playing it again. We have played a similiar game before with my sister and nephew.

We just have to go buy the software now. :)

That's a neat article. I was going to comment but you have to be a member and I get tired of becoming a member on everything so I passed. I may address some of the comments at my blog. The one that stood out the most is this idea that kids need to learn to do things they don't want to do but have to do in the real world; that most adults "have to" go to work. NOT!! Most people are motivated by money or some other reason, they don't "have to" go to work, no one is forcing them or threatening jail on them if they don't. They are choosing to go to work. It's funny that adults somehow think that they aren't conciously making that decision.
