I'm feeling like a rock star this week! We made it to Texas again safe and sound in time to celebrate three birthdays: mine, Holden's, and my sister's this past weekend. We made it here on Friday and missed a ton of icky weather back home. I called my neighbors today to see how things are going. The kids are having another snow day due to lots of ice. The power was out for about three hours today. A neighbor is going to check on our house today.
We are having a great time here! We've been biking and going outside a lot. It has been in the 70s and 80s here. We go without shoes a lot and are excited about not needing coats. It will be hard to go back to full force winter after the holidays, but we don't have a choice. I have a house and need to make sure it doesn't flood from broken water pipes. LOL. And I would hate to come home to a stinky frig again, like last summer. If it were up to me I'd sell it all and buy an RV. Material things just don't mean a damn. I would be the person who would be thankful to be alive if a tornado hit my house and destroyed it all. We have insurance for a reason. Things are just things and don't matter. I would miss my photo albums, of course.
I'll try to take some pictures of the green grass here, kumquat tree, and blooming pansies my sister needs to plant in the soil. I can just pinch myself! Sorry to those in colder climates, I wish you were here.
Hope your world is peaceful and your holidays are joyous.

I'm so jealous. We came to Texas and are now in colder weather than what we left! Glad you're having, though!
