Do I write about all the cool experiences with my kids--things we're learning together, their friends, and things they are learning just by living life? And what about all the cool things they say and sweet things they say. What about the geography questions Holden is asking me due to his dad being in another part of the world? He can point to the U.S. map or a world globe and easily find Texas and Iowa. He asks about the country his dad is in (we look at the globe and I printed a Middle East map). Life is all connected in so many ways...not just a bunch of unrelated subjects. It is mind boggling, really.
Or do I write about my husband who I love so much and miss? And his phone calls and his experiences he is able to share?
Or should I write about the friends who came over today for dinner with their beautiful daughters to help chainsaw some tree branches in our yard near our roof?
And then there's my husband's mother who is in the hospital, and has been all week. She was set to go home then had two grand mal seizures yesterday. I am planning to go see her tomorrow. We had a virus this week and I didn't want to pass it to her. We are worried about her. She is not doing well, but we are hoping she pulls through.
On Sunday we're supposed to go to the Living History Farms with a friend and her kids. We are getting in free. I am very excited b/c I haven't been there before and we get to see it with friends. It is a neat place and only about 10 miles or a little more from where I live. A shame we haven't been before.
The photos are of the gorgeous sunset tonight. It was special to me because it was lined up with our street (which is rare). Normally the sun sets farther northwest or southwest of our street, depending on the time of year. But the photos came out much darker than I expected; and I am not in the mood to play with them to lighten up.
So, now to bed to get up and have another mind blowing day tomorrow. Peace and hugs to all~~~~~
P.S. Today would have been my mom's 55 birthday. Hard to believe she has been gone almost 3 years.
