farm boys and new fridge

We have had a really awesome week and weekend. Thanks to our Ombudsman, the American Legion came through with a fridge for us, and even hauled the other one away for free. There was a power outage while we were in Texas this summer. So, the contents of our fridge smelled like a rotting corps. We love our new fridge, and are so glad not to be using a cooler any longer!

This weekend we went to a farm a few hours from home to listen to a band, pony rides, food, petting zoo, bounce house and hang out with some women and kids whose husbands are also deployed. Holden thought it was really fabulous time! He fell in love with a miniature horse named, Butterscotch. Both boys made some friends there and played all day!! Now Holden wants to live on a farm--or at least have some farm animals.

We've heard from Cliff quite a bit since he has been "over there." He is doing well. He misses us a lot and we miss him too. His mom is in the hospital, so we went to see her on our way out of town today. She will be going home soon.

There's a lot I want to post about, but I need to get some sleep. I have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow. Peace and love to you all!!!
