We were very impressed with the Children's Museum in The Woodlands Mall. There were many hands on activities and things to look at. It was colorful and full of happy energy! Not only did the mall have this to offer, but downstairs was a
separate place that is affiliated with the Houston Museum of Natural Science called the Exploration Station. It would have cost of $20 to get in vs. $15 at the Children's Museum. We decided to pass on that and we were glad we did. The Exploration Station was not near as crowded though, but they didn't have as many hands on activities as the museum. We were at the museum for at least 2 hours. We enjoyed a magician, coloring station, wooden train set station, and critter corner the most. The critters were mostly reptiles and were very colorful. My favorites were the toads and frogs and bearded dragon. Outside the critter corner was a 20 (?) gallon aquarium filled with freshwater fish. There was a lot to see and do there and it would be nice to go again another time. It was not as fancy as other Children's Museums I have seen, but it was decent and something different to do! I would have taken more pics, but my sister's camera batteries needed to be charged...
Ooops. I have them on the charger now. :)
Afterward we hit the indoor play area of the mall for
almost 2 hours. It was filled with lots of kids the whole time we were there. We would have stayed longer, but Camden was so wore out after all the climbing that he
layed down on the ground of the play area to rest and possibly pass out! I met a few nice moms and grandparents who I had fun talking with while I watched the kids climb and jump. Holden made a few friends, Camden just had fun being physical, and playing side by side with other kids.
Rock station. There is also a huge glass case filled with different types of lovely rocks which were all
labeled.

I loved the doll with book cases. There were about 3 large cases full of one of a kind dolls made to go with a certain book. The pictures don't do these dolls or cases justice. I wanted to get more pics. I have read the Narnia book to Holden and I adore the doll to go with it.

This is a large, dinosaur fossil digging area to dig up fossils or rebury them. Instead of sand it was filled with small, black rocks that were supposed to be like coal. Both boys loved it and so did many other kids!
It was a fun day! I better get back to the boys...;)
