We have sorta been in high gear enjoying my nephew. He has gone back to his other home with his step-mom. His dad passed away last summer. My brother went back to his normal residence as well. He was here for about a week. We are taking it easy today and not sure what to make of the quiet.
After weeks of on and off rains yesterday and today has been sunny and no rain in sight. I suppose the normal hot and dry Texas summer weather will follow?
I had some adorable photos of Holden and a toad that visits us at night, but in a moment of ignorance about my sister's camera I deleted them. It is amazing to just sit and listen to the mating chorus of frogs and toads every night. It is as loud and mysterious as the locusts.
The boys and I will be enjoying a few more days with my sister and her husband, and then we are heading to Austin for about a week or more. It will be a busy week and we will be back in high gear at times. We'll be seeing lots of family. After that we are going to spend a weekend with my sister, Heidi and Robbie. We will be doing lots of traveling the next few months and I hope my old van will serve us well.
