Blogger brain overload

Well, too much has happened over the past two weeks to catch up now. Plus I have a nasty rash which I have been trying to deny is poison ivy. It started last week and is spreading like a horrible case I had 2 years ago. I found a place that carries Burt's Bees Poison Ivy soap and picked it up tonight. I have a bar of it at home in Iowa that I forgot to bring. After a horrible sleep last night and burning itching from the rash I knew I better find some Burt's Bees. So getting better and keeping sane is my main priority this week.

We had a nice day here today despite being cranky and itchy. My sister found a turtle on her way home from work and brought it home for the boys. We set it free after a few hours. The boys went to a neighbor friend's for a bit tonight while I reassembled my bike and took it for a spin in the dark. I saw a family of deer and it was a gorgeous evening with no rain!! Hopefully it won't rain for awhile. The mosquitoes are a nightmare in Texas right now due to all the rain the past few months. :(

I'm hoping we will leave on Sunday or Monday to see Cliff in Mississippi. Before that I am going to streak my hair with red highlights--with my sister's help. We will come back to Texas for August, of course.

Here are a few pics from the past week. I wish I had some from this past weekend, but we left the camera bag here by mistake! We went to a really awesome fish hatchery near Athens, TX and to a scuba dive center that had a super beautiful lake. It was the best weekend with my sister, boys, and nephew!!!

I'll try to blog more another time this week. I want to try to recapture some of what happened in Austin and who we visited. Love and peace to all!!
