Ice Candles
It turned out to be too warm on our sunny, southside back porch to leave the candles outside to freeze. We put them in the freezer this afternoon and they were finally ready tonight. The kids really enjoyed them and Cliff did too. Holden's green ice candle turned out the best. We used a small bucket. Next time we'll fill it with more water. Holden had so much fun checking his candle every few hours to see how frozen it was. It froze quite a bit outside yesterday (Sunday). But today it started to melt before we brought it in to the kitchen freezer. I thought it was a neat experiment!
Cliff is pretty wore out from all the emotions of losing his dad, but he is doing well considering. He'll be home all week and thru the weekend. It's going to be in the 40s tomorrow--so I gotta bring the ice candles in tomorrow morning. I'll put them in plastic bags and into the freezer. It will be cold here again soon. Sending out happy love to all.

Ooo,, these look cool. My girls would love this. :) And we'd have no problem with the freezing factor, *g* although I do think its gonna get up to a toasty 7 today.
