Our homemade rainbow
First we had a mirror and used it reflect sunlight onto the wall. We tried a few others things to see how they would reflect light. A little bit later Holden had a CD and was making a small rainbow with it. Instead of reflecting a light spot on the wall it reflects a rainbow. Try it out sometime. The photo is a rainbow I made on a light colored wall in a darkened room. There's a neat source on-line about reflecting rainbows with CDs. Very fascinating.

That's so cool! Please submit it to Unschooling Voices! It's just perfect for this months topic.
Here's the link.
Very cool! I was just reading your blog and Haley saw the rainbow...I asked her if she wanted to try to make her own rainbow so we got out a cd, prism and mirror and went to town...
you find such cool things to do with the boys. You're an inspiration to me!
That's so pretty. Saw link on Unschooling Voices. We have a fruit tree in our backyard that had cds on it when we moved in. I assume to scare off the birds (doesn't work, btw), but it makes beautiful reflections in our yard.
