Horsing around
It was a beautiful fall day and Holden has been interested in horses lately so we drove past some horse pastures near our house this morning. A handsome stallion galloped along side our car each time we passed him. We enjoyed him so much we decided to visit him again. Across the road were these brood horses. The stallions are kept seperated from these. A nice woman and her two dogs stopped to give us that information. We fed the horses grass and Holden was able to pet a few of them on the face. He is so brave. He was very cautious not get bitten and they didn't even try to bite. They were so sweet. Most of them were skittish. Holden didn't want to leave so we may go back tomorrow. Hopefully we'll meet the owner so we can learn more about the horses. Holden wants to ride a horse but we will wait until we go to Texas next. My sister there told me she will take us to a place near her house.
We went on a walk today and noticed a wasp (?) nest hanging from a tree limb. I didn't have my camera, but we'll go back tomorrow to get a photo. It was a fabulous site!
Cliff called to say hi. He was going out with some of the guys he works with to celebrate his birthday. He had a busy day at work and he sounded tired. But he sounded as happy as a guy in his situation could be! He's just glad to have a job.
One more thing, we got a really cool trade offer for the antique serving dishes. I'll post on the other blog about it as soon as I'm sure about the details. All I can say is that it is a lot bigger and not antiques. It may be a few days before I have more concrete details.
Can't wait to horse around some more tomorrow!
