A Super Saturday

Today is our 11th wedding anniversary! We celebrated it last weekend since Cliff is working this weekend for the Navy Reserves. He'll be home later this afternoon. He went to work for a grain mill in Iowa this week. He had to take a pee test 1st thing and they sent him home until the results came in. It was basically a waist of his time to drive over two hours there and back. Plus he was gone all day on Wednesday filling out new employee papers. He hasn't heard back from the company but he got a call from another company--Fagen. He'll go to work for them on Monday in Sioux City. A friend (Joey) told him about this company. Cliff's been trying to get on with them for awhile now so he is excited. Thanks for your help, Joey and Vicki!

The photos are the latest basement photos. Cliff is working on framing the walls. He is going to take down the paneling after all and make it a straight wall. It is sorta zig zag right now and a little too narrow in some areas. Behind the paneled wall is storage, washroom, furnace, and our hot water heater. It's going to look so much nicer with drywall and without all the zig zags. Cliff has been working really hard on this on his spare time. If he didn't have to work today I know he'd be down there now.

We had a nice surprise today when we went to the library to drop off some items. They were having a fall festivel. It was a nice surprise because it is cold, rainy, and dreary here today. Everyone was happy and it was a lot of fun. They served corn dogs and cookies too. A librarian was making balloon animals. There was even a magician and mini pumpkins and gourds to decorate as well. If it weren't raining there was going to be a car show as well. Darn the rain! We also found some good movies at the library to curl up and watch. It is turning out to be a SUPER SATURDAY! I have so much to do around here. But I decided to just enjoy the boys and not stress since Cliff is working on our anniversary. We deserve some down time after a lot of busy days lately.
