Can you take me higher?

I. Don't. Think. So. I feel like I have won the lottery! We are missing out on one of the worst winters in Iowa by staying with family in Texas until Cliff returns from Iraq. One of our neighbors who is watching our house has wrecked both cars this winter, and their kids were in a sledding accident. They have had at least 40 or more inches of snow this winter, and winter won't be over until the end of March--if we're lucky! I am hopeful we can get back to our house in one piece and no busted water pipes.

This past weekend we went out of town with my sister and we had a blast! We went to several parks, we saw Spiderwick at the theater, and made a lot of other awesome memories. We all loved Spiderwick, by the way. Wish I could say I have read the books. The trip there was rainy and very foggy. Once we got there around 11:30 a.m. it continued to rain until at least midnight. The next day (Sunday) was decent enough to be outside. For that we were so grateful. Holden climbed an impressive Live Oak and another tree not photographed. He was quite happy in that tree! The photos here are some moments my boys were literally high in the air.
Can you take me higher? Only if you could beam my husband to me right now. I miss him so much and he misses us! I just finished reading the Higher Laws chapter in Walden. It was interesting, but it was not about man made laws.
Here's to hoping you are high on life no matter where you are or what your circumstances may be.

I've got one that loves to climb too and we just discovered a climbing wall in Anchorage. You might check into that;) We don't really have climbing trees where we live. They are all tall with small branches (birch, aspen, etc). Fun, fun!! Hard to keep your heart rate down huh?
