These are some random photos I took while driving to and at Gray's lake today after we went to get some work done on my van. While we waited on the van to be serviced we walked to an Asian market to buy some frozen Chinese dumplings and egg roll wrappers. It was really neat for the kids. Their favorite part was going into the Mexican party supply store above the market. It was full of hanging pinatas and they sold food as well. We bought some chocolate covered bananas on a stick...well only but they gave us one for free b/c Camden is so cute and begged for his own. I insisted we could all share one. Holden thought the Asian market was fun too. He asked me tons of questions about their food and noticed how their packages were labeled in Chinese words. After we picked up the van we headed to Gray's Lake where I unloaded their bikes. Camden was so happy I had remembered to bring his bike! He thanked me very sincerely.

The colored glass really comes to life at night. There is a light behind each plate of glass that comes on at sunset.

The bridge is lined with the memorial plaques. I think the memorial funds go toward paying for the bridge upkeep.

This photo doesn't do this lovely tree justice! It looked more like a neon orangsh-red with the naked eye.

A tree stump carved into an eagle. These types of carvings are popular here.

Drive by flowers

Random walker with a child in a wagon.

I loved the sailboats on the chairs at the sitting/viewing deck above the restrooms.

These are some photos I found on-line to share how the pedestrian bridge looks after sunset. Words can not express how beautiful it is to go there at night and enjoy the walking trail around the lake and 1/4 mile bridge over it.

One of the many cute doggies who were at the park walking with their owners.

A terrible accident scene we passed as we left the park. (My kids thought it was real too.) LOL. Holden wants to do this trick to our minivan too! I asked him if we could borrow his foot! We had a fun talk all the way home about weird things people hang off their cars....like pretend human testicles. Holden has pointed those out to me and reminded me of that one!
