Holden is still keeping me busy asking lots of cool questions like "Why is metal called metal?" and "Where does metal come from?". Out of the blue yesterday he asked me if I thought his book of stuff we are printing out is a cool idea...but it wasn't really a question. His smile and eyes were so full of life! He has always asked lots of questions. Just not so many in one day. I still don't know "why metal is called metal?" though.Today he asked me to print out the info about armadillos and how they roll into balls. In pursuit of that info, I read that out of the 20 odd species of armadillos only one of them can completely roll into a ball--the 3 banded armadillo. So here is the only link with photos of it in a ball that I found today: http://www.msu.edu/~nixonjos/armadillo/tolypeutes.html
The boys fight over who is going to hole punch the info and put it in the noteboook. Camden is just as excited about all this as Holden is! I wonder what the next cool thing will be here besides Holden's friends fighting over who will play his Gamecube with him after school? Today it was "no one" until I got the yard mowed which was thick and long and took me until 7:30pm tonight. Whew, I am glad that is done!! In the midst of that Holden and Camden water colored with a friend and played outside with friends other times.
I am getting up early to mail Cliff some sweet corn he requested. Gosh we miss him!! Hopefully I'll get Cliff's car out of the driveway this weekend. I got the flat fixed today and will be glad to get the tired back on (with help) and drive it a little. Other than that we are living without a frig for now and using a large cooler. It is working out well for the moment. This weekend I hope to price some refrigerators, see Cliff's mom and enjoy the boys.
Happy Labor Day weekend all!!

Wow, the armadillo ball is cool! I am so impressed with how well you are handling everything. You inspire me, and I send you good wishes for continued strength and peace in return. :)
Ooh. Time saver: I brought a couple reams of pre-hole punched paper on sale. I use that in my printer and instantly move it to my binders.
:)
It is also great for the art portfolio Lil'Bug is making.
