The fun continues...

Well, we made it back to my sister's house on Saturday from our latest adventures. I wish I had photos to share. We rode the Galveston Ferry several times, saw porpoises, and we found a tide pool with crabs in San Luis Pass. We enjoyed our time with family, until I got a head cold and Camden woke up in the middle of the night sick. His illness was short lived and so was mine. We have been resting up as much as possible and avoiding the near 100 degree heat by going to the YMCA pool or Lake Conroe to stay cool. It is supposed to get a little cooler tomorrow. We are headed to Austin for a few days to hopefully see a new baby in the family (if she comes before we leave) and spend more time with family in Austin. We were there last month, but we love it there and need to have more adventures in Austin.

I am going thru Cliff withdrawals, still! He is on a ten day trip in the wilderness of Mississippi to drill a well with his unit---living in a tent with no A/C (HOT AS HELL THERE TOO); so we won't talk to him for another week and hope he is well. We will be heading to Mississippi the end of next week to see Cliff again, and then hopefully home to Iowa. We have had a really awesome time in Texas. However, we are homesick for Iowa, friends, and family. We are missing the state fair and other events we normally attend. But it was worth it to be in Texas to be near family and to visit Cliff. We have been enjoying my sister this week. We watched a few Netflix movies with her and have been playing computer games. She and I play pogo hangman and the boys love PBS Kids and some other sites. I help them when needed, of course.

The photos on this post were taken this week and a few are from last week before we went out of town. Not all of the frogs are the same. Some look very similar. The boys love me to take their photos with their frogs. We have been having fun with water colors and hand prints as well. Camden painted his whole arm when I wasn't looking.
I highlighted my hair last night and I over did it. The back looks awesome (my sister helped me with that part) but the front looks like it was peroxided on top. I will most likely get some manic panic to make it darker for our trip to see Cliff. I can't imagine what my 94 year old grandmother in Austin will say to me tomorrow. Uhhgg.
Other than that I am just so grateful my car is still hanging tough at 187K miles. I still need to get my tires and oil changed. I should do that before I go to Austin tomorrow. I will wait to see how tomorrow goes... I know I am making this trip look easy, but there are some not so pleasant moments I am leaving out. We have had some hard situations and days. There never seems to be enough money or patience some days. We just make the most of it! I figure I can be miserable anywhere. Might as well enjoy the journey as much as possible! For the most part I would say I am doing well and the kids are doing great!

Peace to all! I gotta get busy thinking what I need to be doing for our next trip....
