Well, we start the day out slowly. Camden is my alarm clock. Holden is still in bed when we get up. We eat and usually go outside. My sister and her husband are usually up about an hour later. The boys play their Gameboys or other handheld devices, do water balloons, play chase, hide and seek, or watch satellite t.v. while Camden is exploring. At some point in the day we may run errands. The other day we splurged and replaced Holden's broken Gamecube since I brought all his games. I forgot to bring his converter to play Gameboy games on it though. Oh well. He got a few new games too. I am still learning and we got "E" but "E" for 10+ so they were too hard for him. So we exchanged those yesterday. We picked up one 1-2 player and one game that is one player only! So we may take that back so he can have games for 1-2 players.
My sister insisted I look into the YMCA that is near here to use with our membership. I called and they said I needed special permission to use it since I am not a member in this area. I left a message with the "person in charge." She never called. I called later in the day and they said she was home ill. So I called my local YMCA in Des Moines that we use and told them the scenario. They said just go in and show my card. So I went in and showed my card and took my boys and nephew swimming last night. The staff was nice, too. They have a Family Fun Pool with a tire swing on 3 chains in the water, three water slides, and equestrian center at this Y. Needless to say we were in heaven! The Family pool had two life guards and the two bigger water slides were closed last night. But the kid play area was fun and just right for all three kids. It had lots of water shooting out every where. It was a little cool last night because we went after a rain and it was party cloudy. The facility is at least 20 ore 30 years old but still in decent shape! But it just goes to show how behind we are in Iowa since most of our Y's are newer. But we are catching up on family friendly places.
At least once a day I take one of the boys on a bike ride with me (in trailer). We see lots of different wild life on our adventure. We have seen Guinea hens, several deer, a bat, I have heard whippoorwills, and the locusts are in full swing here!
This weekend we are going to a baby shower for a cousin of mine. It is less than an hour away and it should be fun. Family from Austin will be there, and I am glad since I won't make it there to see them for at least another week or two.
Last night my sister took me out to a neat bar and grill on Lake Conroe called Papas while the kids stayed at home with her husband. It is not far from her house. We ate outside overlooking the lake. There was a herring on a pier the whole time we ate and we saw a huge rat in the distance go toward the water. I can't remember what type of rat my sister said it was, but I thought it was a beaver. But it had a rat tail. The food was yummy, greasy, and the margaritas were awesome! My sister ordered us fried pickles too. Now that was a first for me! Never even heard of that! The kids were fine when we got back and we went to bed since it was late.

The humidity is very high here. It is like walking into a steamy shower room when we walk out the door. But it hasn't been above 90 yet since we arrived and I am ever grateful!! We still miss Cliff and we talk to him almost every day for a few minutes. His days start very early and he is very tired when he is done. They were going to run 3 miles the other day outside in their uniforms. And the heat and humidity is very high in Mississippi. We can't wait to see him!! He made us reservations for us to stay there in August for a family weekend event. It should be very fun! I have never been to MS. Our hotel is 3 miles from the ocean. I will be driving through New Orleans on my way there. Gulfport, MS is about 6 or 7 hours from here. I have been warned by Cliff not to stop in New Orleans though. I guess he wants me to be careful and not take chances.
Camden is all over the house this morning. I better get him outside since he is restless and people are still asleep. Hopefully I can get some pictures of my boys or I up next time I post. Smiles to all!!!
