Snow falling on tulips and daffodils
We woke up to a snow covered ground today. It has been snowing on and off all day. Cabin fever is setting in, but at least it is going to be short lived. Today we went on a walk in the slushy snow and to the library for some fun kid activities. I don't mind this spring snow, but the downside is that it has probably killed the newly budding flowers. I took some photos of my neighbor's flowers to share here. The photo of our house is from this afternoon--the snow has melted off quite a bit and you can see part of a big snow ball Holden made. The grass is bright green too!!! Some die hard neighbors started mowing a few weeks ago due to the warm weather we had a the end of last month. Normally we don't need to start mowing until May.
Yesterday was dreary too and as soon as I woke up I asked the kids if they would like to go to the YMCA so I could exercise. Cliff wanted a membership so he can get in better shape before Iraq. So last week we applied for a family membership which we got at a big discount because he is a veteran and we don't make a lot of money. The kids stayed in the nursery while I took an hour long Pilate's class. It was awesome! I hope to do it again next week and make it to the YMCA before next Tuesday.
We're really missing the sun and warmth!!! We're dreaming of going fishing and walks in warmer air. I'm sending cyber sunshine and hugs to all!!

Let me know if you are ever going to the Walnut Creek Y. I just saw Rachel there with her kiddos -- i think she was at the marsh at Halloween with us. we are frequent YMCA visitors. Having class with lunch at a park might be nice some day....
