Happy Easter

It was a happy weekend here. Cliff and I had a date on Friday night. It was a lot more fun than I expected for just going to dinner and a movie. The kids didn't cry when we left either. They were smiling when we got home and the house didn't burn down (inside joke). The kids had been playing with matches and Holden and Camden even had some minor burns. Scary. We even tried to call and didn't get through. Cliff was going to drive by to "make sure the house hadn't burned down." We talked to the baby sitter's mom (who was next door). She had just talked to her and all was fine, so we didn't worry. I am getting rid of all matches in our house. Now we'll just have child proof lighters.

We made a special meal on Saturday and went to a movie with the kids. Afterward Cliff worked on his POS car and Holden dyed some Easter eggs with me while Camden hung out with Cliff. Then the Easter Bunny came on Sunday morning. Both kids were happy with their candy and toys. We didn't go all out so I was glad they didn't notice. My Easter present was Cliff spending 2 hours fixing my washing machine this morning. The spin cycle was broken and a switch had to be replaced. We went to buy the part at Sears yesterday. I was so tickled he was able to fix it!

My contacts came in on Friday and Cliff picked them up on his way home from his mom's house. He and the kids went over there to do Cliff's laundry since our washer was broken. I am almost used to my contacts and can't decide which I prefer--glasses or contacts. I like contacts b/c I see better with them. Glasses are convenient though, but I think it's cool to have contacts too. I don't know that I look better in contacts vs glasses. I would prefer to have lasik surgery! Maybe one day. I love water sports and swimming. We went to Aruba on our 5th wedding anniversary and enjoyed hours of snorkeling. It was so awesome, except it would have been more fun if I had 20/20 vision to see the colorful, underwater aquatic life more clearly.

Well that is about the gist of our weekend. We can't wait for it to warm up! It was kinda cold all weekend and very breezy. It was hat and glove weather for sure. A few months ago the 30s and 40s would have seemed warm to us! LOL. We went on a few walks and I tried to stick to my exercise routine. I have a lot more energy and stamina now. I think I only slept between 5 and 6 hours total every night the past week, mainly because I have been staying up late abd Camden wakes up early. And I haven't been too cranky! But that cold sure kicked my butt last week! I think I am finally over it!
