Musings from me

What do you do when you feel like puking, but you have two jumping and excited little boys and unseasonably warm weather? You pick your sorry butt up and get moving! I can't remember all we did this week but here are a few things:
~ Saw and petted live reindeer at our library and went to the festive family night afterward inside.
~ A friend and her kiddos came over to play and made my day by giving me some maternity stuff.
~ Boys and I went for ice cream at DQ and to the park.
~ Went shoe shopping for Holden. Found shoes he loved! And SOCKS! It was a thrill to see my sock hating and picky shoe wearer find shoes he loves and socks he'll wear. He's been a new person. His other shoes had holes and were so smelly. LOL.
~ Rode a mini train at Santa Land at the mall after shoe shopping.
~ Went to Jolly Holiday Lights and CandyLand for Make a Wish Foundation. They loved it!
~ Waited outside for Santa to go by on a firetruck today. First time ever to wait outside. It was that warm! It is a yearly tradition in the town we live in. Gotta love it! Now I know why my taxes are so high. LOL. It's gotta be expensive to have Santa here for a day!
~ Wrote a few Christmas cards to family members without email.

Well that's the gist of our week. It sounds fun and I am glad I made the effort. I am feeling a slight bit less nausea every day. But I still puke a lot. It is a pain. But I know I'll be back to feeling hungry again! I've already lost 5 pounds. Not that I'm bragging. I would never recommend this kind of weight loss program.

I'm loving Holden's stage right now. He says the darndest things. Always has. Today we were watching Superdog and there were some small looking dogs in a dog show curled up next to one another labeled "Tasmanian Giggle Hounds." Well I sorta scratched my head and said "Hmm." Well my smarty pants Holden said "mom those are Hyenas." I said, "how to do you know? Have you seen this?" He said, "mom you can tell by the spots!" And sure enough a few minutes later it was revealed that the trouble making dogs were hyenas. They were the villains. He had not seen the show. They really didn't look like hyenas in the part where they were cuddled up. They looked soft and innocent at that point.

Anyhow, it's neat to see all the connections going on in his mind. It is brilliant! Today we were talking about ages of his friends and using fingers I explained how old all his friends are. He is starting to be interested in numbers. He likes money and understands the concept of $1 very well. He likes to pay for his own things at Dollar General and is so grown up about it. He told me he likes money and jewelry! Very funny! Lately he has a list of things he wants. Not that we push material things. But he has specific things he thinks about and has wanted for awhile (a year or so). Here are a few I find so funny and he is serious about these things: A parrot, a horse, a four wheeler, and a dirt bike. I take his dreams very seriously though. I tell him anything is possible and it is good he is so patient. Sometimes dreams take awhile to make work. You just can't give up. He's very giving though. He can save money and he will give some of his money away freely. He tells me if there is anything I want he will help me.

Camden's latest thing lately is saying, "I can do it." It's really cute. Like when my belly is upset and I don't want him on my lap: "I can do it." Or doing something by himself without help: "I can do it." He is a big ball of endless and bouncing energy. He is excited about life and it shows! I NEVER EVER dreamed I'd have two little boys who are so handsome and smart. It's a real blessing. I do have my hands full though. I will never ever complain if I am bored!!! I don't think that will ever be a possibility. Life is overflowing. I hope the spirit of life is in you now and always! Typos and all...I really shoulda been in bed sleeping off the busy day, but I wanted to blog about our week. Love ya all!

P.S. Cliff's mom is out of the hospital. She is doing o.k.

Good to see you posting again, Heather. I hope your tummy starts feeling better and better! It looks like you manage to keep your boys busy even so. I'm impressed! Glad to hear Cliff's mom is doing better too.
