Barenaked Family on a Japanese documentary?

I was just trying to see what the Barenaked Family is up to and while reading their website I stumbled onto this: NHK Japanese Film Crew

The Barenaked Family was on Nightline a few months ago. You can see the youtube video on the links to the left, if interested. I highly recommend it!

Anyhow, I thought that it was really neat that the Japanese are so interested in American travelling families. The Nodlands or "Road School" were also interviewed for the documentary which was aired to at least 10M Japenese in 2002. Very cool! Road School did a nice page on their website about their experience: http://www.road-school.com/nhk.htm

I had a Japanese room mate in college named Wakako. She was one of the most humble and nicest people I have ever met! She was not born in America and her family was all in Japan. I didn't get to know her well. I was quite into my own life (working, boyfriend, college, friends, etc.). Now I wish I had! She had her own life, too, I guess.

Hey there Heather! Thanks for signing the guestbook and we're glad you are using the picture. The documentary with NHK Japan was really cool ~ you make me wanna put it on YouTube. We are dubbed by younger Japanese voices and the Nodlands got dubbed by older ones (-;. It's really fun to watch because you can get the gist even though it's all in Japanese (which we know none of the language). Thanks for your nice comments, and liking your trade for a bus idea! We'll keep an eye on the journey and if we had anything, we'd trade!
