Handprints, airplanes, and new do's

We were thankful to run some errands today and get outside this afternoon. It was a little chilly, but no wind.

Holden wanted to color his hair green (has been for a few weeks). We went to Target and no luck with non-permanent hair dye. But we picked up some really cool $2 die cast airplanes that we are addicted to. Both boys love airplanes....airplane books, movies with airplanes, and toy ones too!

Then we headed to Sally's Beauty Supply. What we bought for Holden's hair was supposed to be green and make it spikey. Well the spikey was too hard and not enough green. So we get to go back another time to try something else. He washed out the spikes already tonight. Speaking of new do's I got a new haircut last week. I'm not as photogenic as the boys though. lol.

Dirty handprints are something we never seem to escape around here. Today Holden thought it would be fun to wash the dishes. Camden helped him by staying out of the way and playing with a stick of butter on the counter. I was in the bathroom and came down to see a butter handprint on the wall. Later I went outside and saw mud handprints on a door to our garage. I know one day I will miss these little sticky, muddy handprints everywhere. But for now the handprints are a permanent fixture and always amusing to see where they will turn up next.

We've done the kids hair in red and green with Kool-aid. Just get the sugar free mix, combine it with hair conditioner, and put it in their hair. Leave it in at least 30 minutes and then rinse. Depending on what their hair is like, it will last a few days to a few weeks. YMMV.

Oooh, I like that Kool-aid idea. I think Zoe'd like to try that and I bet it smells yummy!
