Totally Tattoos

We had to go to the grocery store for some items today and we decided to pick up some more tattoos as well. For $1 a packet (over 20 in each packet) you can't go wrong! The guys tattoo package says "Totally Tattoos" and "Tribal" at the top. Mine pack says "Totally Tattoos" and "Glitter" at the top. Not sure what Tribal Tattoo means?

So far no one has treated Holden like a freak because of his play tattoos way ahead of Halloween. He shows them to everyone we meet and all his friends too. The librarian even showed us hers today and explained it to us. It was neat. Hard to explain though because it had some double meanings and hidden meanings too. Shoulda had my camera with me!

While we were at the grocery store we found some glittery girly tattoos that I have decided to use for my Halloween attire. I'm going to put streaks of pink or purple in my hair and be the tattood mommy go with my tattood boys. Holden wants his hair to be green and we will spike it. Not sure what type of clothes we'll wear. It may be warm enough to wear short sleeve tops. We'll see. Camden may get a spikey mohawk look without the shaved looked on the sides of his head. He'll look adorable no matter what!

We'll be making our own hair dye with food coloring and baby shampoo. It washes right out and is less toxic that store bought stuff. We can use lotion and food dye to make our own colored make up if needed.

I'm getting excited about Halloween. We'll carve out pumpkins tomorrow. On Monday we are going to meet some friends at a marshland outside of Des Moines. We're going on a nature tour of sorts, I believe. It should be fun to get out. It's supposed to be in the mid-60s which is warmer than lately. Then we get home it will be time to get ready for the big night. Our area does beggar's night (that's what they call it) on the 30th. We have hundreds of kids come by and we'll go door to door for a bit as well. Can't wait!
