...From the Tattoo Tribe!!
It was a nice windy fall day, but not too cold. We met some friends at Engeldinger Marsh outside of Des Moines. We had never been to a marsh. It was neat to find out what type of little creatures live in marshes and to experience a marsh first hand. Holden asked to go back again so it was a hit! We went to the marsh ready to come home and get ready to trick or treat

By the way, no one laughed at our tattoos either and we enjoyed being the Tattoo Tribe for Halloween. It was a fun and easy costume. I like to keep it simple. It seemed Holden's favorite thing to say the past few days was: Let's put on another tattoo. He even gave me one of his to put on the other day because he thought I was sad about not having any. That was before we found the girly glitter tattoos for me. It was a Halloween to remember! And we still have tomorrow. We may just stay home and veg after the busy day today...
Some of the things kids found at the marsh: dragon fly nyph, crawfish, and snails. Other animals that live in
