We had a lot of fun at the Fair but it was VERY crouded. The weather was perfect again. It was only 80 degrees and sunny. Not sure how we got so lucky AGAIN! The highlights of the day were the GIANT SLIDE, the corn dogs and funnel cake, and Middle Earth Studio's production of "Gypsy Princess" at the Kids Fun Forest. The neat thing about the "Gypsy Princess" was the narration and the full audience participation as the characters in the play. Holden didn't want to join in as a knight or any of the bad guys. He was being shy today. Camden tried on a few costumes but was tired and just wanted to hang out and be. There were at least 15 bad guys and 10 knights. And there were at least 10 ladies in waiting for the King and Queen and 15 gypsies. It was a huge hit for us and the many others who watched the play. I can't believe we never went to these plays before at the Fair.
We also hit the maze at the Children's Garden/Ag Building again. Cliff even went thru it.
As you can see from the pic Camden fell asleep as we were leaving and slept all the way back to the Capital Building downtown on the shuttle bus. How sweet. I couldn't have pried him from Cliff, if I had tried. Cliff really missed his little buddies. The kids are glad their dad is home and Cliff is glad to be here. Seems the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" is true afterall.
