The Happenings
On Saturday Cliff and I went on a double date with friends of ours. We saw The Happening. For anyone who hasn't seen it, I would wait until it is on DVD or skip it all together. It may have been better than Lady in the Water, but not by much. It was still fun to get out and do something different.
Today Cliff gets his staples taken out of his shoulder, and the boys and I hope to be there. It is a perfect sunny day here and mild temps. It's been nice a few days now! And no rain since last week here in central Iowa.
Other Happenings:
Last night the boys had friends spend the night, and it was fun. Cliff wanted tomato plants so he bought a few and we planted them yesterday. He surprised me with that and a hanging basket of red geraniums. Every morning I've been trying to exercise for at least half an hour. Today my lower back is bugging me. That is a bummer! I think I overdid it yesterday pulling weeds.
A side note: I'm going to visit family in Maine next month for a few days and I am very excited! I will miss the boys and Cliff. Next time maybe they can come, too.
I'm off to cook lunch. I'm trying to perfect my pizza recipe. If you have a yummy crust recipe, please share!
Peace and joy!

I LOVE my pizza dough recipe. I do it in a breadmaker, though, so if you don't have one...ummm,..I don't know how it will work.
Large - makes 2 pizzas
1 1/3 c. water
1/4 c. olive oil
1/2 t. salt
1 t. sugar
4 c. bread flour
2 t. yeast
liquids first, then dry, making well on top for yeast to be added. Then I set on pizza dough and it's ready in 15 min.
BTW - I got my breadmaker at a yard sale for 5$ *practicly NEW* I love mine and wouldn't give it up for anything!

I don't use bread flour when I make my dough in the breadmaker. I guess I will have to try that. Thanks for the recipe! We got a breadmaker last month at a garage sale for $5 too!! LOL. We love it as well!! What a small world.
Loved your last blog post! very funny! :)
I am so glad you posted this here! I just had to look for it so I could write it up again. We keep it on the inside of a cabinet door. ;o)
This is the second time I'm back here looking for the recipe. I noticed I screwed up when I said it'd be ready in 15 min. It's 50 min. by my pizza dough cycle.
Also, if you don't have bread flour you can add 1 T. gluten.
I notice it rises much better and has a thicker edge than it does without the added gluten. We lilke a thick crust to dip in ranch dressing. :)
