"May Day" to the rescue

We went to our first May Day party today. We exchanged May goodies and even received some beautiful flowers. The park was so beautiful and green. The May pole dance was a lot of fun as well. My boys opted out, but I enjoyed it a lot. The play equipment at this park is so cool. I wish I had some photos of it. I had been there before years ago. I was excited to go back.

There's quite a funny story about the toad that is in the photo with Camden and his friend. But I don't have time to go into it now. Anyone who knows me in person can feel free to ask me about it. But some of you were there to witness what this frog went through. Thankfully he was released and made it to safety... eventually. The boys were fighting over who was going to release it--I'll just leave it at that.

It was a day to remember. The sun made an appearance and the rain stayed away for us. Happy May Day everyone!!!

It's the Walker Johnson Park on Douglas Ave. It is kinda behind the Urbandale Library off of 86th (?).
